Demand CHIP funding

Demand Congress fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

CHIP is two months past its deadlines. States are on the cusp of running out of funding for the program, if they haven’t already. Minnesota’s funds run out at the end of December. According to Indivisible CHIP ensures nearly 9 million children have health insurance. CHIP is a federal-state partnership where the federal government provides most—or in some cases, all—of the funding necessary to cover uninsured children. Contact Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken to demand that they apply pressure to get CHIP reauthorized.

Go a step further and contact Mitch McConnell, urging him to introduce the bill to the floor before the holidays.

If they can afford to give millionaires and corporations tax cuts, they can help fund CHIP.
