Act now to stop Concealed Carry Reciprocity. The House feels there is enough support as of Thursday, Nov. 30 to bring the bill to the floor for a vote. Now is the time to call your Representatives and urge them to vote no.
Two ways for you to act:
- Call the house Judiciary now and ask them to reject Concealed Carry Reciprocity.
- Call your House representative and tell them to vote no on Concealed Carry Reciprocity. Find your representative and their contact info.
The House of Representatives will start to move on the proposal tomorrow at 10 a.m. Concealed Carry Reciprocity would make it legal for more dangerous and untrained people to carry loaded, hidden guns in public places.
This federal bill would allow people prohibited from getting a concealed carry permit in one state to simply cross the border into a state with weaker laws and get a license to carry, according to Protect MN. Additionally, it does not create a consistent national standard for who is able to get a concealed carry permit.
