Third Thursdays: Line 3, MN and the Climate Crisis

Please join us on Thursday, February 18 at 6:30 pm for the next Third Thursdays, all about the Line 3 pipeline:  “Line 3, Minnesota, and the Climate Crisis.”

There’s a race in northern MN to stop the tar-sands Line 3 pipeline from locking Minnesota into decades of climate polluting greenhouse gases. Not much time remains to stop the construction. Line 3 will cross 200 waterways, violate treaty rights and cause as much climate damage as 50 coal plants. There is strong resistance to this pipeline and it’s led by Indigenous women.

Join us to learn more about the status of Line 3, the political and climatological context, and what action you can take right now to help Minnesota build toward a healthier, safer clean energy future for all.

Speaker: Rita Chamblin, Bemidji Liaison with MN Interfaith Power and Light, and  environmental justice advocate.

The event will be held over Zoom and is being hosted by our friends at Indivisible Saint Paul. All are welcome. Sign up here to attend!

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
