Please join us on Thursday, March 18 at 6:30 pm for the next Third Thursdays, all about how Minnesota recovers from COVID’s impact on women!

Women have been on the frontline of tackling the pandemic. They have also been the most impacted by it.

2.5 million women have dropped out of the US workforce. They are more vulnerable to going into debt, losing their home, and they shoulder the lion’s share of child and eldercare. They've also faced a spike in partner violence during this time. Due to systemic racism and structural inequities throughout our economic and healthcare systems, women of color and Indigenous women have been impacted disproportionately by the pandemic.

How does Minnesota recover? Join us March 18 to learn how the pandemic has both revealed and exacerbated existing gender inequalities in MN. Find out what policy changes are needed, and hear about legislation being proposed this session to support MN women now and going forward, and how you can help get it passed into law.

Confirmed speakers so far: Christina Ewig, Dir. Center for Women, Gender and Public Policy, U of M; Senator Mary Kunesh, MN Legislature.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. This event is co-hosted by Women's March Minnesota and ERA MN.

Register here! After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

We hope you can join us!
