October: Text Bank to GOTV
On October 18, 2018, WMM hosted a text bank and postcard party to get out the vote in Minnesota. Thanks to our co-sponsor Indivisible Minnesota Local and thanks to Erin Maye Quade for getting us ready to go.
We contacted 15,000 plus in one night! Way to go Third Thursdays!
August: Celebrating and Supporting Women Candidates

Thursday August 16, a couple dozen women gathered at Lake and Legends Brewing for Third Thursday. There was a lot of enthusiasm, some joy and a little sadness at the post-Primaries Third Thursday.
June: Mobilizing for the Midterms Part 2
The Legislative session is over, and the party Conventions have kicked off the election season. This is what we’ve all been waiting for -- to vote the right people into power!! While voter turnout across Minnesota is definitely important (especially for the state-wide races), the purple suburban districts are arguably where this November will be won or lost.

March: The Fight For Equal Pay

On average, woman are paid 20% less than their male counterparts, and that ratio is even worse for woman of color. We "celebrate" Equal Pay Day on April 10, the day in 2018 where women will finally have made as much money as their male counterparts did during the 2017 calendar year. The wage gap is real, and it's time we do something about it.
February: Roe Unrealized

The war on women is worse than we realize. Roe vs Wade is in place, but far too many women cannot get the reproductive healthcare they need and the GOP is making it more difficult. Karen Law, director of Our Justice, discussed how birth control, abortion, race, poverty and access to resources are being talked about at both national and local levels and how they tilt the playing field even more against some women.
January: Child Welfare & Racial Bias

Stand Up St. Paul invited Kelis Houston from the NAACP Minneapolis to speak on child welfare and the clear racial bias and disproportionate contact and conflict that African-American and multiracial families contend with from DHS and Child Protective Services in Minnesota.
