MOBILIZING AROUND MAY DAY

For the 9th action in our 10 Actions / 100 Days Campaign, Women’s March engaged in a national campaign on May Day in partnership with Beyond The Moment intended to expand and strengthen multi-racial, multi-sector and local long-term organizing capacity around the fight for justice, freedom and the right to live fully, with dignity and respect for all people. This will be a long-term coalition and the May 1 events were only the beginning.

In solidarity with the national Women’s March and Beyond The Moment organizations we mobilized support for May Day (International Worker’s Day) actions here in Minnesota. As a continuation of this May Day call-to-action in support of inclusive social justice, we are promoting the Heart of the Beast Puppet Theater’s annual May Day Parade on Sunday, May 7. The Women’s March Minnesota’s #PinkHatBrigade will be gathering to support the march and we will be in the park for the festival.  Grab your pink hat and join us the celebration!
