Women's March National put out the following statement:

We are horrified by today's violent acts in Charlottesville, Virginia. There are no 'both sides' here. Our nation’s leadership has intentionally appointed, promoted and empowered people with unabashed white supremacist and neo-Nazi stances.

You’ve made phone calls, written postcards, attended marches and rallies, donated, educated yourself and others, and built a movement.

Thank you!

We still have a lot of work to do as we uphold our eight unity principles: ending violence, reproductive rights, LGBTQIA rights, workers rights, civil rights, rights for people with disabilities, immigrant rights and environmental justice.

Women’s March Minnesota would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Justine Damond.  No one should ever lose their life at the hands of those sworn to protect them. Not Justine, not Philando, not Jamar, not Cordale…and these are just a handful of local names. Women’s March Minnesota is deeply saddened by the continuing senseless shootings of friends, community members, neighbors, and people across Minnesota and the United States at the hands of the police. We’d also like to thank all those individuals and other activist groups that showed up on Sunday for the vigil and that continue to show up.

Special thanks to the Women's March Pink Hat Brigade and ERA MN supporters that showed up rain or shine!We appreciate you letting our MN lawmakers know we want the Equal Rights Amendment to be a priority in 2018!
