Voter pre-registration ends 10/16 - Get on it!
Not registered to vote yet? The last day you can pre-register to vote in Minnesota is NEXT TUESDAY, October 16th!
After that, you'll have to wait until election day, when you can register at your polling station when you go to vote, (but you'll need to take the right paperwork with you).

Volunteer with Asian American Organizing Project (AAOP) and MN Voices to increase voter turnout for the Midterms
Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) make up 3.1% of the eligible voter population in MN, but they only account for 1.9% of all active registered voters and 1.6% of the vote share.
Asian American Organizing Project and MN Voices are working together to change this by registering and turning out Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to vote in Minnesota. Can you help?

MN High School students say “No means No!” - support their school walkout and rally (Friday 10/12)
This Friday (10/12) at noon, MN high school students will walk out of their schools and head to the Capitol to demand better consent education in high school and to stand with survivors.
Take action to stop Kavanaugh’s confirmation
They want to vote very soon.
The Judiciary committee is set to vote on Kavanaugh this Friday, one day after Dr. Ford testifies. The U.S. Senate will vote soon after. They're not hanging around on this one. They want Kavanaugh confirmed ASAP. Meanwhile, a third woman has accused him of sexual misconduct.

12,800 Detained Migrant Children
12,800 migrant children were detained this month in federal custody – yes, 12,800! That’s up from 2,400 in May last year! And the WH just announced that they plan to triple the size of the "Tent City" in Tornillo to house even more - a total of around 3,800 children! This is all so shameful and wrong!
Wall of Forgotten Natives
Minneapolis Franklin Hiawatha camp - find out about the issues and how to help.
The Wall of Forgotten Natives first appeared a month ago. This temporary encampment now holds about 300 homeless people and 150 tents. Many organizations and agencies are working to support the people at camp and to find stable accommodation for them. Listen to Patina Park of Metropolitan Urban Indian Directors (MUID) and Minnesota Indian Women’s Resources Center to understand the issues behind the Mpls Franklin Hiawatha camp and to find out what you can do to help.
