Media Advisory: Sen. Bernie Sanders Joins No Kings Twin Cities Lineup on March 28

 On Saturday, March 28 at noon CT, Minnesotans will kick off the third, and largest No Kings event yet, marching from three Saint Paul locations then joining together for a rally at the Capitol.

The 2pm CT program at the Capitol is the national flagship No Kings event, featuring U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, Attorney General Keith Ellison, Joan Baez, Maggie Rogers, Jane Fonda and other national advocates, musicians, and hometown heroes.

·    Short program with speakers and performers starts at 12, then participants march 1.5-miles north to the Capitol, with a sound truck leading the way. 

KICKOFF MARCH AT SAINT PAUL COLLEGE (235 Marshall Ave, Saint Paul)

·    Short program with speakers and local performers starts at 12, then music continues at the College as marchers head north .6 miles to the Capitol. 

KICKOFF MARCH AT WESTERN SCULPTURE PARK, 387 Marion St., Saint Paul

·    Short program starts at noon, then participants will march .5 miles to the Capitol. 

The third No Kings protest is expected to be the largest yet. On June 14, 2025, over five million participants came to No Kings events nationwide, including 80,000 Minnesotans who chose to stand in solidarity at our State Capitol just hours after the murders of Speaker Emeritus Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, and the shootings of State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette. Last October more than seven million people attended 2,700 No Kings events across all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

This national flagship rally at the Capitol in Saint Paul is one of more than 3,000 No Kings events scheduled around the country, bringing together millions of Americans united against the Trump administration's authoritarianism and corruption. 

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events.
