The Welcome Table

  • Paikka 550 Vandalia Street Ste 165 Saint Paul, MN, 55114 United States (map)

“I’ve never had an in-depth conversation with someone from Somalia. I loved it. It never would have happened if he wasn’t sitting across the table.”

Join us at one long, welcome table.

Eat for Equity and Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota invite you to a feast that connects us to each other---across cultures, nationalities, and neighborhoods.

Join us for a four-course feast designed by four cooks, and prepared by a team of volunteers. Courses will celebrate and reflect each cook’s personal heritage and immigration story. Each guest will be invited to share their own experiences, to find connection and empathy in a shared meal.

Seating is limited at this family-style meal. Please plan to arrive at 6 pm for the feast. A free will offering will be collected during dinner.

Hosted by Paikka, a modern, industrial event venue in the heart of the Twin Cities.

Eat for Equity builds a culture of generosity through sustainable community feasts. We are a nonprofit that organizes regular benefit dinners, engaging communities to eat, drink, give what they can - and together, raise thousands of dollars for a greater cause.

The mission of the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM) is to enhance opportunities for immigrants and refugees through legal representation for low-income individuals, and through education and advocacy with diverse communities.

For over 20 years, ILCM has been a leader in immigration representation, education and advocacy and is the only statewide organization that represents clients regardless of legal status and case type. ILCM serves clients in the Twin Cities through our two St. Paul offices and, based on growing needs in greater Minnesota, has expanded to Moorhead, Worthington, and Austin.

In 2017, ILCM supported 4,449 individual cases and reached over 8,500 people through advocacy, education, and informational presentations.
