Know Your Rights: Protesting During the Super Bowl

  • Facebook Live event (map)

Thinking about joining a protest leading up to the Super Bowl? The ACLU of Minnesota is hosting a Facebook Live on Wednesday, January 31 to discuss what you can expect from this major event and how you can be prepared to exercise your First Amendment rights.

The Super Bowl is considered a National Special Security Event (NSSE) by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). With over a million tourists expected to visit the Twin Cities, an increase in policing and security is expected.

Learn about your general right to protest and important considerations for demonstrations during high-profile events. In addition to hearing from our speakers, send in your questions and comments during the live feed and we will try to answer as many as possible!

#TakeAKnee and exercise your constitutional rights this Super Bowl!
