The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission has made the insulting, negligent, and illegal decision to grant a Certificate of Need and Route Permit for Enbridge's proposed Line 3 tar sands pipeline, bringing it one step closer to being built.
This Sunday, gather at the Governor's Mansion to ask Governor Dayton to help right this injustice.
Governor Mark Dayton’s Department of Commerce stood with StopLine3 at the PUC, saying that this pipeline is an unneeded. The Governor's first statement was also positive, saying his agencies will carefully consider “protecting all our state's earth, air, water, natural resources, and cultural heritage” for each of the many required permits. Together, we will peacefully call for decisive action to protect our state.
In approving Line 3, the Public Utilities Commission has failed the people of Minnesota. Ignoring tribes, expert witnesses, and the State's own analysis, they have sided with corporate polluters.
Communities will continue to fight for the justice and respect we deserve, Please join us and keep resisting Line 3.
