Hosted by Duluth Branch NAACP
From the host
The Duluth NAACP along with its community partners located in low voter turnout Duluth precincts are sponsoring a free get-out-the-vote nonpartisan festival, Soles to the Polls.
The purpose of the festival is to increase voter turnout and voter participation on Election Day among groups that traditionally are less likely to vote:
Youth (18 to 26 years old)
Communities of color
The Festival will feature co-emcees Edward Moody and Ramona Marozas of CBS 3 News Duluth. The event will have information regarding voter registration, sample ballots, and election information from City of Duluth’s city clerk. Chelsea Helmer will provide voters with the information they need to vote on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Live bands, free food, spoken word, dance performances, free t-shirts, children’s activities, door prizes and more will occur throughout the afternoon.
