From the organizers:
On September 8, we say: enough. Enough with the corporations making profits from harming our climate and our communities. Enough with the politicians who line their pockets by selling off our future, and who keep us divided with hateful rhetoric.
On September 8, we as Minnesotans will join others around the nation to come together across differences of race, class, gender, ability, and more, and take action. We’ll talk with each other and learn from our differences, so that we can fight for what we want in common: a healthy climate, good jobs, and just communities.
On September 8, we will *not* be marching on the State Capitol. Instead, organizations representing our state’s best in racial, economic, and climate justice are coming together to host a summit:
• We’ll learn about the ways climate change affects frontline communities differently, how the health of the climate affects our health, what opportunities there are to get involved in our local communities, and more.
• We’ll get to be creative by building art together with local artists, collectively creating a huge banner that represents all of the interconnected parts of our movement.
• We'll get inspired by keynote speakers and a youth panel, have fun with kid-friendly activities, and top it all off with collective actions we can take right away.

We are committed to protecting our future. On September 8th, we’ll work together to demand that same commitment from our political leaders. Will you join us?
