Stop the Anti-Protest Bill

  • Minnesota State Office Building, RM 10 100 Rev Dr Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard. Saint Paul, MN, 55155 United States (map)

A bill is moving through the legislature that would increase penalties and liabilities to people and organizations that protest pipelines.
This is a direct attack on water protectors. The right to free speech is a cornerstone of our democracy. Free speech and peaceful assembly are the sign of a healthy democracy.

This bill would make liable upon arrest and not conviction for those that trespass on “critical infrastructure and pipelines”. It would also punish those associated with someone that damages property. For example, a Grandma brings food for frontline protestors could be held liable the actions of others at a camp.

HF 3693 protects oil companies not our civil liberties.
Join us at the House Public Safety Committee to say this is unacceptable.

Bills similar to this have passed in other states. This is big oil working to intimidate water protectors and their allies.
