Tuesday, Sept. 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
In recent weeks, our nation has witnessed violent clashes between white supremacist groups, the KKK, and Nazis, and those who vehemently oppose what they stand for. The racial unrest has left many feeling unsettled, concerned and unsure about the direction in which our country is headed and the steps we must take to undue racism and root out white supremacy in our institutions, government, public symbols and systems.
This event will feature a powerful panel of local and national experts to explore what happened in Charlottesville, VA, how it relates to the history of race relations in the U.S., the connection to past and present racial justice movements and how we can move forward as a multi-cultural nation.
This event is co-sponsored by Black Pearl, LLC; YWCA Minneapolis; and Hope & Healing Counseling Services.
