On June 29th this year the latest version of the travel ban (aka Muslim Ban 2.0) went into effect.
The new Supreme Court ruling prevents travel to the US by foreign nationals from 6 predominantly Muslim countries as well as refugees from any country, unless they can prove a “bone fide relationship” with an entity (job/school) or a person living in the US (parent, spouse, fiancée, child, adult son or daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law or sibling).
To understand more about this ruling and what we can do about it, please join Rep. Ilhan Omar, Jaylani Hussein (CAIR MN), John Keller (Immigration Law Center of MN) and Dr. Ellen Kennedy (World without Genocide) at 5.30pm this evening, 11th July, for “Resisting the Muslim Ban UPDATE” at the Brain Coyle Center, 420 15th Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN 55454. For the Facebook event page, see here.
If you cannot make it in person, the event will also be livestreamed.
