EVENT April 16: Protest to Defend Immigrant Rights and the Constitution - Tomorrow from 3-6pm at the Consulate of El Salvador (60 Plato Blvd in ST Paul)!

The Hands-Off Coalition of Indivisible Twin Cities, Minnesota 50501 and Women's March MN, will be standing on the sidewalk outside the El Salvadoran Consulate in St. Paul to support those who have been arrested without due process, sent to the notorious CECOT prison in El Salvador. We are standing up for all who have been targeted because of speaking out and protesting. We are protesting the Trump regime’s illegal actions and cruel defiance of court orders and the rule of law.

This event will happen in St. Paul on Wednesday, 4/16, from 3-6pm. The El Savadoran Consulate is at 60 Plato Blvd, St. Paul, 55107. We hope to see you all there.

Still energized by Hands OFF!? Hope so, because we have ACTIONS!

Our work isn't done! This rally was a battle, but the war is long! We want you to understand that you are now one of the 3.5% that it takes to stop a dictatorship. Democracy is an active duty — one which involves, as Cory Booker said during his marathon record-breaking speech, ‘good trouble’. And this is what he was talking about! Showing up, being here, and coming back!

1. Contact your legislators.

2. Download the 5 Calls app

3. Spread the word. T

4. Stay engaged!

Hands OFF! April 2025 is Tremendous Success – Thanks to You!

It happened! We organized an event for people to protest the Trump administration and its cruel, chaotic attacks on our freedoms and our communities, and you showed up! Wow, did you show up! Attendance numbers vary, but our best estimate is 40-45,000 people!

And we weren’t alone here in St Paul. There were 50 or more events throughout the State. Reports have come in for as many as 5 million people across the country showing up to tell Trump to take his hands off our Medicaid, Social Security, our bodies, our jobs, our economy, our DEI initiatives, immigrants, our schools, our courts, our environment, our data – the list goes on.

We came together united in purpose. See how strong we are together! The people have the power, and now that we have seen that, we will channel it into action and into standing up for and with each other. There is a long way to go to win this one! We can do it, but it’s going to take all of us! Stay tuned for more opportunities!

Gender Justice's Paola López Cortés speaking at The People's March Jan 2025 in St Paul MN

Trump and project 2025 are coming for the rights of all marginalized groups including women, Trans & LGBQ. Gender Justice works to create a world where everyone can thrive no matter their gender, gender identity or expression, or sexual orientation. Central to this work is dismantling the legal, political, and structural barriers to gender equity. This includes Economic Justice, Reproductive Freedom & Justice, Freedom from Gender-Based Violence and Trans & LGBQ Liberation. We must stand in solidarity and make sure we do not let centuries of fighting be lost to those who wish to be intolerant.

Senator Mary Kunesh speaking at The People's March Jan 2025 in St Paul MN

At #ThePeoplesMarch in St. Paul on January 18th, 2025, our first speaker was MN State Senator Mary Kunesh (39, DFL). Mary is an Indigenous women’s advocate, chief author of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), and a champion for gender equality under law. The ERA must be passed to protect the rights of ALL Minnesotans, especially the marginalized communities that Trump is targeting with his cruel executive orders.

The proposed ERA language states: All persons shall be guaranteed equal rights under the laws of this state. The state shall not discriminate against any person in intent or effect on account of race, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, or sex, including but not limited to pregnancy, pregnancy outcomes and reproductive freedom, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.
