Jason Lewis is inviting constituents of CD2 to fill in a short survey (3 questions only) on 3 important issues – the border wall, bathroom choice for transgender students, the ban on US aid funding of any organizations that either discuss abortion as part of family planning or advocate for abortion rights as part of their work overseas.
Call to Action: “NO” to new MN Health Insurance bill that mimics ACHA at state-level.
A bill we thought was dead seems to be back on the table and the MN Republicans are trying to gauge local reaction to it, before possibly introducing the bill next session. This state-level bill contains provisions that mimic provisions in the national level ACHA Healthcare bill. It’s critical that we let the legislators know that Minnesota opposes this bill!

Sounds like shady goings-on at the Legislature. Please call the MN GOP leadership to demand above-board and transparent governance.

The vote to “repeal and replace” the ACA yesterday will take health insurance away from millions of Americans, gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions - including things like pregnancy, cancer, mental illness, eliminate services for special needs kids in school, and effectively let insurers charge women more than men.
Call to Action: Let the Governor know what you feel about these 2 anti-choice bills that have passed both the Senate and the House.
Join NARAL Pro-Choice, Planned Parenthood and others at the Capitol Building at 10.30am tomorrow to make it clear that ALL women must have the right to choose what is best for them and their families!

HF945/SF800 Health and Human Services Omnibus bill is proposing a $500m cut to the budget. Call your reps and let them know why this is a bad idea.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has threatened to withhold Justice Department grant funding from jurisdictions that refuse to disclose people's immigration status to the federal government.

In order to pay for increased spending on Defense (54 billion), the Wall (2.6 billion) and De Vos’s School Voucher Program (1.4 billion), Trump’s draft budget cuts the EPA , the State Dept, Ag Dept., education, arts, housing & urban dev, health & human services.
