Thanks for celebrating International Women’s Day – for giving and standing up

IWD 2026 was a beautiful, warm day with a pink sunset and Women’s March MN team was out on the town recognizing the event in many ways.

WMM Hosts a Period Products Drive at ABOTO

We hosted a Period Product Drive at A Bar of Their Own (ABOTO). Mobile Loaves Twin Cities will use the items to create packs to distribute to members of our community in need. We are pleased to share that we collected three SUV worth of products. We also managed to enjoy some beverages, delicious food, and women's sports all while supporting a woman-owned, local business!

 International Women’s Day March with MN AAC and MIRAC

MN Abortion Access Committee (MN AAC) and Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC) gathered thousands of folks for an IWD March! It included insightful speakers, creative posters, a few frogs, some Handmaids of Minnesota and a huge sense of community. We were pleased to send a speaker from Women’s March MN to the event. We heard stories from victims of domestic abuse and mistreatment, from activist leaders who have stood up for rights time and time again and learned how we can continue to move our community for through the matriarchy.

RIGHTS! JUSTICE! ACTION! To the brave, mighty, courageous women leaders, Women’s March Minnesota (WMM) celebrates you on this International Women’s Day. As Minnesotans, we come together to recognize and honor the work of women who create a just and equitable world for ourselves and generations to come. We will continue to fight for our rights, demand justice, and build communities free from hate.

On International Women’s Day, WMM celebrates all the women on the frontlines fighting for freedom, supporting community, and leading the fight for equality. In a time where the work of women is undervalued, our successes erased, and our voices marginalized; we know our wisdom, compassion, and love will create a better world for all women. Our resistance is formidable, our commitment is unshakeable, and our strength is undeniable.

To recognize and honor the critical contributions women make, WMM is asking all to invest in women, support women’s businesses, and amplify women’s issues.
