July 4th Mass Funeral and March in Minneapolis and beyond
Sunrise Twin Cities is partnering with Singing Resistance and PACAT (with support from Big Animal Productions) for a BIG-action Mass Funeral and March based in Minneapolis. It’s happening on the morning of July 4th for a Mass Funeral/March for ICE Detention Deaths to share grief, healing, and demands for liberty and justice.
What does that look like in the Twin Cities? On Saturday, July 4th people will meet at 9:30am at Chute Square in Minneapolis for a Mass Funeral and March for ICE Detention Deaths – sharing grief, healing, and demands for liberty and justice. You can participate as a marcher, singer, or pallbearer. The march will be 1.8 miles and end by 12pm.
How can you do it in the Twin Cities?
Please show up on the day. Wear black, leave the posters at home and be ready to join in song.

Talk about it in your circles – at the picnics and watching the fireworks.
What does this mean outside of the Twin Cities?
Please join us remotely, in spirit or online. Getting the word out across the state would be helpful to our shared goals (life, liberty and pursuit of happiness) and you are best positioned to bring the message to your neighbors.
