Trump is cutting advertising funds for the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) by 90 percent. What does this mean? A reduced budget makes it harder to new enrollees to find out about the program and get signed up for health care. The Trump administration wants to ensure the ACA fails, despite its successes in making it possible for millions—11.4 last year alone—of previously uninsured Americans to have coverage.

Minnesotans have an extended period of enrollment time thanks to MNsure: Nov. 1 through Jan. 14. The state-based exchange has its own say in advertising and enrollment centers to help get the word out, but we want to make sure our fellow citizens know what’s available through the ACA.
